CHILD-THE FATHER OF MAN

Its taken almost two months for me to publish a new post !!! And imagine I had very passionately started this new blog in Akshara's name. Guess I missed out a lot of interesting things I wanted to publish here in my blog.

But the fact remains that my office work kept me too busy to follow my regular pursuits-weight loss regime and blogging. Both have taken a back seat these 45 days and my lately re-acquired heftiness stands testimony to the fact.

Busy office work also has another victim, my patience. As I metioned in my previous post, you require tons & tons of this virtue to bear up with all that the kids do.An ounce less of patience will get your blood pressure soaring high and you will land up messing up the moment. Patience on the othe hand can reverse the effect. All that nagging that children do is enjoyable when you are relaxed and not pre-occupied with work related tensions. You are better able to handle their tantrums, their endless line of questions and hyper energy. As the saying goes, patience is a virtue and a necessary one for young mothers. Everytime I loose patience at my little one, I know for sure it wasnt her fault at all. Common, its a child's nature to be like that, you and I cannot be and are not allowed to be. Everytime I loose patience and punish her for her behaviour, her innocence shines through, highlighting my guilt. And I promise myself to respond more patiently to her hyper energy and excitement. She just cannot stop enjoying the world that she has newly explored.

I realised when I am more patient towards her, willing to listen and respond to her, she actually takes me along on a journey to explore her new world, the way she perceives the world around her. And its just so exciting. As I mentioned before, when the exporation begins, I rediscover my childhood and all my childhood excitements that I lost in the journey of life from childhood to adulthood. I am glad God gifted me this child to relive my childhood. I pray to God to give me the patience and wisdom to experience this gift to the fullest without hurting her or interrupting her new joys of life. Its a journey of transformation towards being a better human. True, child is the father of man-if only man has the time and patience to realise that.
